Firearms Safety Training

The Firearms Safety Training Course is a course of instruction which includes classroom instruction on The Cardinals Rules of Firearm Safety, state firearm law, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a component that requires the applicant demonstrate the ability to safely fire a handgun.

• Always treat every firearm AS IF it were loaded.
• Always Keep your Firearm Pointed in a Safe Direction
• Only point a gun at an object you intend to shoot
• Never point a gun toward yourself or another person
• Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot 
• Always keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot.
• CHECK YOUR FIRING ZONE. 
• STORE FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION SAFELY. 
• AVOID ALCOHOL AND DRUGS WHEN HANDLING FIREARMS.
• Never have ammunition in the same room while cleaning your firearm
