Security Training/DC Armed SPO

To get a DC armed security license, you must meet eligibility requirements like being at least 21, a US citizen, and having a high school diploma or equivalent. You must complete 80 hours of training (40 pre-assignment and 40 firearms), be affiliated with a licensed security agency, pass physical and psychological exams, and undergo a background check and fingerprinting through the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). The application is submitted to the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA), often through your employing agency.
